We are not supporting Mike Defensor: Gabriela
GABRIELA National Alliance of Women and Gabriela Women’s Party yesterday clarified that they are not supporting Quezon City mayoral candidate Mike Defensor as reported by tabloid newspapers Remate, Unang Tiktik and Hataw.
"No national officer of GABRIELA or Gabriela Women’s Party ever talked with Mr. Defensor or anyone from his camp. The news reports in the three aforementioned tabloid newspapers neither named their source except for one Ruby Barcelona, allegedly a resident of District 2 in Quezon City," the Gabriela press statement said. "We admonish as completely irresponsible whoever issued such a statement in an attempt to use the name of our organizations to bolster Defensor’s candidacy."
